With all the talk about the new application store and the SDK tools from Apple I am very excited to hear what new software will be avaible.  I do not have the programming skills required to do my own, but I do think I have some pretty good ideas. Therefore, I decided to put one of my ideas out there and hope someone can turn it into reality. I won’t take the credit but at least I will get to use the new functionality.

Here is my idea: The iPhone is great to synchronize appointments and give you reminders.  Why couldn’t there be a field built into the appoinments that would allow you to “Silence Ringer For Duration of Appointment.” 

If you are like me, I often forget to silence my ringer during a meeting, movie, or other quiet meeting.  Our company has gone so far as to charge $20 if a phone goes off during a meeting.  This is my open call to all you programmers out there to save us all some money and embarrassment!  Thanks in advance!
